National Robotics Week - April 13th 2014

Robotics week will be here before you know it. What will you be doing this year? Come and join IEEE RAS and EMBS at the Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum for Robotics at the Hangar (RATH). This year we will be celebrating robotics week in style, with real live robots!

RATH showcases developments by robotics makers, and inventors from local companies, enthusiasts, inventors & clubs and exhibits many of the cutting edge robotic development occurring within Colorado. Don’t miss the chance to get a first hand look at one of the robots used by the Denver Bomb Squad. The ROTH event is going to be a great afternoon for the entire family, so bring your kids! This event cannot come soon enough.

See you at the Hanger!

Pizza and Beverage Provided

The Metro Robotics Group is burning the midnight oil as they prepare for the IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competition in Corpus Christi Texas this April. The contest involves a challenging autonomous navigation of a cubic foot robot on an 8' x 8' obstacle course, simulating an ocean with waves and oil rigs on fire, which the robot must find and extinguish using tools.

Join us at Gamma 2 Robotics to meet the Metro students and learn about their robotics design. Find out how their robot will navigate the course and extinguish the flames! As the only IEEE Student group from Colorado in a field of 30 other schools, we can all support them on their long trip to Texas (donations optional, cheering required).

There will also be an opportunity to meet the famous Gamma 2 robot, Basil.
