The Metro Robotics Group is burning the midnight oil as they prepare for the
IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competition in Corpus Christi Texas this April. The
contest involves a challenging autonomous navigation of a cubic foot robot on an 8' x 8' obstacle
course, simulating an ocean with waves and oil rigs on fire, which the robot must find and extinguish
using tools.
Join us at Gamma 2 Robotics to meet the Metro students and learn about their robotics design. Find out how their robot will navigate the course and extinguish the flames! As the only IEEE Student group from Colorado in a field of 30 other schools, we can all support them on their long trip to Texas (donations optional, cheering required).
There will also be an opportunity to meet the famous Gamma 2 robot, Basil.
